Babysitting Friends
Our really close friends from Seattle were moving back to Phoenix and we got to watch their cute little kids well they got settled. Layla and Etta have been friends since birth. And now with a boy close in age to Gibson they had such a great time together. We stayed busy by going to the gateway to play in the fountain. We visited 2 different Libraries, walked to the park to play and ate some goodies. We can’t wait to go visit them and love when they come visit Utah!
I had protection with 2 Batmans

 A Family Favorite
What a great Relay! I asked a few of my friends to come run a relay with me. Once my team was set I knew we would have a great time. Fun was the focus and we sure had a lot of it. The relay was Running with Ed and we signed up to be the Rum Runners. We then added for Reading to make it more with the theme of Education.

The Haircut
Gibby got his first Daddy hair cut at the beginning of May. Andy and Gibby took a trip to Wal Mart to buy supplies. They found hair cutting scissors for about $15. Then they walked over and found dog trimming scissors for $8. Gibby loved that his hair was going to be cut with doggie scissors. With a comb and water spritzer they where home and a cost of $10 to begin the hair cut. They both sat on the edge of the bed and watched a you tube video on how to cut hair. After the video they got to work. Gibby loved the attention and we all liked his hair cut.

Etta’s Preschool Field trip
Etta’s class went to This is the Place for their class field trip. We haven’t been before but always wanted too. It was very entertaining. The kids plowed the fields, did chores and played farm games. They also cleaned wool for spinning. The favorite part was the animals. Horses, baby chickens and goats. Gibby was at his preschool so I enjoyed at day with Etta.

The last day of April and the First day of May we went on a fun drive all over Salt Lake City.
Food Trucks
We found out that The Great Food Truck Race was shooting in Utah. We spent a few days chasing around food trucks to experience some gourmet food from all over the country and having it cooked out of a food truck. This was a delicious weekend! At one point Andy was buying food at Costco for one truck that ran out of food, another time we were driving after a food truck that had to leave their previous spot and make camp at a new one, and we had to sign tons of wavers so keep an eye out for us next season.
Our first Truck. It was snowing that day, they ran out of food and Andy saved the day buy getting them food!

We had a great Easter weekend. I always look for a local Easter Egg Hunt we can participate in. The last few years they have been free events which are no fun at all. My kids end up with 1 or 2 eggs out of 1000′s. Wheeler Farms is by far #1 and hopefully they continue each year. We paid $5 each for the kids and $6 each for the dogs and it was well worth every penny. Bonus, they only sold so many which is always the way to go, over selling ruins it for every one.
Saturday before Easter we went to Wheeler Farms with our baskets and the kids to have them go Easter Egg hunting. Pictures first with the Easter Bunny and then ready for the Hunt. The instructions where to find 6 eggs and all the eggs where empty! No pushing, shoving, stealing of others to find that super egg. It was down in the back field like area that is perfect. The kids took awhile to find all their eggs and where excited with each find. Once back at the barn they returned the eggs and where given a great goody bag. Toys, treats, and coupons, just the right amount too.

The dog bone egg hunt was later that afternoon. Again just a darling and well organized activity. All well behaved owners and their dogs in attendance. Each dog got 6 eggs, that contained dog bones in them. So, the dogs could sniff them out. One needed to be metallic in color. Once Hatcher and Scoscia got their eggs we returned them. In exchange for the metallic egg they got a dog prize. Hatcher got a large dog pull toy and Scoscia got a 5lb box of dog treats! They did great too and loved getting a picture with the Easter Bunny as well. Best Easter Egg and Dog Bone Egg Hunt ever!

On Easter Sunday the kids got their little toy, some Easter clothes and found some eggs scattered around the room. Then what better way to spend the day then at a Bees game in wonderful weather. Not to hot and not to cold. We sat on the lawn and relaxed. The kids rode the train a handful of times and I didn’t need to help them. I could see them the whole time. Andy even caught a home run ball from the other team and threw it back. The best thing in the world is spending time together and being happy doing it.

T-Ball
Gibby started his second season in T-Ball at the end of April. He did so much better this season and is understanding the flow of the game. He still gets frustrated when he doesn’t get to the ball first when in outfield, but he sure enjoys running, hitting and throwing.
For his first game Etta and her friend Anni came and where his little cheerleaders. They did a great job cheering him on.
*Pictures from his first game. More later when I wrap up his season that ended in May.

SLC 1/2 Marathon
My first Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon. I have biked it 2 times but loved running it this year. I trained on a 12 week program, but had a few breaks towards the last couple weeks. My goal was to run the entire time. I though for sure my time would be slower and was so pleasantly surprised and happy I finished in 2 hours 13 mins and 35 secs. Great target to break next time for sure.
I loved seeing my kiddos and Andy around mile 7, which was just up from our house. It gave me a super boost to keep running. Then of course there they were again at the end cheering me on. I loved it!
Up early and all set for my run

Friends we love so much!
We love when our best-est friends from out of town come. We have been friends since I was pregnant with Etta and she became pregnant with Layla. The girls have a warm up period and then it is off and playing like they haven’t been apart. Now they have Weston who Gibby can chill with and the boys did great together. Their 3rd little one Dylan is so cute, and has the biggest smile ever.
I love sitting and chatting with Angelica and hearing of their fun adventures, mommy ideas and just girl talk. They are moving closer again so we hope to go visit them and they come back to Utah more

We cannot get enough of our favorite jumping place.
 Damn cute!
Baseball and the Bees are sure to be in a number of post over the next few months. It is one of our favorite things to do!
We started the season off by going to the Utah Utes vs the SLC Bees game. Gibson loved cheering for the Utes and took a picture with Swoop. Etta being competitive cheered for the Bees and teased Gibby that Bumble was better. It was a chilly evening with rain showers on and off. The Bees won in the end but we all enjoyed the game.
Gibby and Swoop - Go Utes!
The next day was the Bees opener but it was canceled do to snow . We waiting until the following weekend to enjoy some better weather and baseball. Gibby has his SL hat from tball(to be posted soon) so Andy and Etta went up to the Fanzz store and came back with some new Bees hats.

It didn’t take long to get our first ball. I think it was around the 5th inning. No more than an inning later the manager from the other team tossed Etta a ball too. 2 balls on our first night a great way to start off the season. A game is not complete with out a visit from Bumble. So many more games to attend!
 Ball #1
 Ball #2
Singing take me out to the ball game, best song ever!
 Loves for the Bumble
We didn’t attend the Saturday game with fireworks but we did drive over in the jeep to watch them. It was a very cold evening but we wrapped up in blankets and enjoyed the fireworks. Etta fell asleep and I tried to wake her up but she just kept sleeping. Good thing there will be more fireworks!
Keeping warm waiting to see fireworks
 Gibby has a great view
We had a great start to April with Uncle Jason coming to visit. We all love when he comes to visit especially when he comes for his birthday. We always seem to eat good food, relax, eat some more good food and relax. Etta and Gibson love wrestling, watching batman, and hanging all over Uncle Jew Jew.
Our favorite part was taking him up to Park City to enjoy our favorite place, High West. We arrived around lunch time right as they were opening for the day. There was live music playing and it was already busy. The fiddler loved playing pop goes the weasel with the kids allowing them to pluck one of the notes. What great company, an amazing atmosphere and delicious food.
 Great music
Popcorn with bacon, caramel and whiskey... delicious!

We will miss our favorite candy store
We took some great pictures and so did Jason. Hope he had as much fun as we did with him here.
We took Jason to a Tumble Weeds movie about Turtles
Uncle Jason took this on the only sunny day while he was here.
